This Friday, Oct. 6, Earl Sweatshirt and The Alchemist finally released their album VOIR DIRE on streaming platforms. The 11-track album was produced entirely by The Alchemist and features verses from MIKE and Vince Staples.

Earl’s seventh album officially released on Aug. 25 as an NFT through Gala Music, but at the time only 1,000 copies were made available. Now the album is available to a wider audience on major streaming services, allowing all fans to enjoy this long-awaited collaborative album.

In 2019, The Alchemist told fans that he and Earl had secretly released an album together under a fake name on YouTube. Nobody ever found the album.

When asked by Rolling Stone if any songs from the secret album made it onto VOIR DIRE, The Alchemist said, “All of them. None of them.”

Although it’s unclear if anyone will ever hear the secret album, the two artists still released what the people wanted: Earl’s cunning lyrical raps over The Alchemist’s sample chops.  Listen to the album here.
