Kanye West Drops Music Video for New Song on Upcoming Album “Vultures”

Earlier this morning, Kanye West took to Instagram to share a new music video for a single from his upcoming album with Ty Dolla Sign.

The video for the two-part single titled TALKING/ ONCE AGAIN prominently features the Chicago rapper’s daughter, North West, getting her hair braided as she raps her viral miss westie verse, which she premiered alongside her father and Ty Dolla Sign last December in front of a Miami crowd at The Vultures rave listening party.

North West owns the first half of the single with vocal assistance from James Blake, who is credited for producing the song with Kanye West and No I.D. Blake then transitions the song into the second half, ONCE AGAIN, where Ty Dolla Signs sings, “once again the clouds are gathering to release what they held in,” an allusion, perhaps, to the impending release of the three-volume album Vultures that will house the single.

Kanye, who remained stoic throughout the video, save for a few smiles to his daughter, sings the aforementioned Ty Dolla Sign lyrics to close the song.

The video, directed by Italian filmmakers the D’Inoccenzo Brothers with cinematography by Matteo Cocco, continues Ye’s exploration of darker colors with middling shades of gray in his overall aesthetic, which can be seen in videos for songs like Heaven and Hell and Come to Life

Kanye has been promoting Vultures since August of last year, releasing singles with features from the likes of Lil Durk, Future, and Young Thug. After many delays, which is now typical of a Kanye release, the first of three volumes from the album will drop on Friday, Feb. 9, with a total of 18 tracks that feature a range of artists like Charlie Wilson, Playboi Carti, YG, and Leon Bridges. The other two volumes arrive in early March and April.
