Earlier this week, Grammy nominated producer Hit Boy posted a heart-warming video to his Instagram of his father Big Hit receiving wisdom, “rules and regulations” from hip-hop legend and cousin, Snoop Dogg upon the release of his solo debut album “The Truth Is In My Eyes”.

Big Hit, whose real name is Chauncey Hollis Sr., returned home from state prison (https://hiphopdx.com/news/hitboy-father-released-studio-son) in May after serving a nine year hit-and-run sentence and has been glued to his son, and the studio, ever since.

During the phone conversation, Uncle Snoop can be heard kicking some game, “one real G to another.” “You’re s***t is rock solid, but you gotta stay home. Hit is in a position now to keep you forever not going back.”

He continued on saying, “You’re in a position now to be taught…he can teach you how to stay out, get money, and be the dope a** rapper that you are.” Snoop even gave him some personal nuggets inspired from his own testimony. “You’ve watched me do it, watched me fight n****s, win s**t, lose s**t, and now all of a sudden I got Death Row back and now I’m walking in peace…these are rules and regulations to keep you on top of your game.”

Hit Boy’s caption on this video was just as loving saying, “This is the FIRST TIME ever in music you’ve seen a role reversal of this proportion. I’m helping my dad do something constructive with his time and giving him an outlet to express himself in a creative manner through music.”
